The Configuration Manager Reporting Point service has stopped. Configuration Manager requires this service to display reports. This condition might not repair itself and must be resolved before Configuration Manager reports can be viewed.
This issue typically occurs when:
The reporting point computer is shut down or is restarted.
Configuration Manager is being upgraded with Configuration Manager hotfixes or Configuration Manager service packs. Configuration Manager automatically stops and restarts all necessary services during the upgrade.
The Configuration Manager Backup service runs. Configuration Manager automatically stops and restarts all necessary services when the backup task runs.
SQL Server is being upgraded with SQL Server hotfixes or SQL Server service packs or a later version of SQL Server.
The Reporting Point service is manually shut down.
Verify that the Reporting Point service was stopped due to routine or scheduled maintenance. If so, no action is required. If not, the reporting point has to be investigated.
Confirm that the reporting point computer is online. If the Reporting Point service is not already started, start it.
