Summary

The backlog of the site server auth \ statesys.box \ incoming inbox has been greater than 10,000 for over 15 minutes.

Causes

If many Configuration Manager 2007 clients are reporting state information at one time, the site server backlog will increase rapidly. Management points can process state message files faster than the site server. This will only be a problem if the condition continues for an extended period of time, or if the number of files is much larger than expected.

Resolutions

Verify all site server software update manager deployment schedules, desired configuration manager advertisements, and Client Access License (CAL) tracking report cycles are properly configured.
