Summary

This monitor tracks the configuration of submission and activation filter programs. A submission filter program is a program that is executed when a job is submitted, and an activation filter program is a program that is executed when a job is running. This monitor becomes unhealthy if the two programs are configured, but they do not exist in their configured paths.

Causes

This error occurs when invalid paths are configured for the submission and activation filter programs.

Resolutions

To troubleshoot and fix this problem:

  • We recommend using full (not relative) file paths. These files must be accessible for a service that is running on the head node.

  • Make sure that these files exist at the configured paths. If you do not need the filters, they can be cleared by using the following HPC PowerShell commands:

Set-HpcClusterProperty –SubmissionFilterProgram “”

Set-HpcClusterProperty –ActivationFilterProgram “”
