Summary

The storage array is reporting a failed state. The storage system is experiencing an issue that will degrade performance.

Address this error immediately. Subsequent failures could cause the appliance to go offline.

Causes

For more details, view the storage_global_status property in the PDW Admin Console or query the sys.dm_pdw_component_health_status DMV.

Resolutions

Contact Microsoft Support and provide them with the alert name and details.

To diagnose this issue:

1) Microsoft Support will require Windows administrator access to the affected PDW Host node in order to access the vendor’s integrated system user interface for the storage processor in question.

2) Use the PDW Admin Console or health DMVs to view the current values for the properties of the storage enclosure.

To resolve this issue, Microsoft Support will contact the vendor’s hardware support team. Depending on the problem, the vendor might require physical access to the appliance to replace one or more hard disks.
