Summary

The operation timed out when attempting to remotely install the agent.

Causes

This can happen when the target computer is low on available system resources (for example; CPU, memory, Disk I/O).

Resolutions
  • Check the target computer to see if any other process is consuming a large amount of CPU or memory.

  • If there is nothing that seems to be consuming the CPU or memory, open Performance Monitor and check for Physical Disk\% Idle Time. If this is below 10% for a long period of time, there may be some other process thrashing the physical disk.

  • Retry to remotely install the agent when the target computer is not so busy.

For more information on troubleshooting agent installation, see Troubleshooting Issues When You Use the Discovery Wizard to Install an Agent(http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=181932).
