Summary

This monitor indicates that the System Center Management Health Service cannot verify whether the specified Run As account is valid.

Below is a summary of the default configuration of this monitor:

  • Warning state: Transition to warning state if the System Center Management Health Service cannot verify the validity of a Run As account (event 7015 or 7016)

  • Healthy state: Transition to healthy state if the System Center Management Health Service successfully validated all Run As accounts (7019)

Causes

The System Center Management Health Service cannot verify the future validity of the specified Run As account due to:

  • An error retrieving information from Active Directory (for domain accounts)

  • Or, an error retrieving information from the local security authority (for local accounts)

  • Or, the account does not exist

  • Or, the account is disabled,

  • Or, the computer hosting the agent cannot access the domain the account is in

  • Or, the error specified in the event

Resolutions

You can perform the following steps to resolve the problem or to gather data prior to seeking assistance from Microsoft product support:

  • In the Operations Manager event log, filter for events 7015 and 7016 and get the list of accounts for which verification failed. For each account, ensure that the accounts associated with the Run As account specified in the events exist (in Active Directory for domain accounts or on the local computer for local accounts) and that the account is enabled.

  • Ensure that the computer hosting the agent can communicate with the domain, if the account is a domain account.

  • Review the error messages provided in the events and search for more details or contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support.
